The Heroes in the Heartland Conference, formerly known as the David Wade Memorial Active Attack Conference, holds an annual event in Norman, Oklahoma. This conference is a tribute to Deputy Sheriff David James Wade, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on April 18, 2017. David was not only a dedicated servant to the citizens of Logan County but also a member of the Oklahoma National Guard. His commitment to education was unwavering, as evidenced by his dual bachelor's degrees earned at the University of Central Oklahoma. As per David's family, this conference embodies the kind of event he would have wholeheartedly supported.
David's profound faith in God, country, and family rendered him a true hero, dedicating his life to helping others. It is our fervent hope that this conference will empower fellow first responders to enhance their service to their respective communities. While we forever cherish the memory of our fallen brother in blue, our mission to educate and support all first responders has allowed us to extend our reach and impact.
Heartland Medical Direction collaborates with over 170 police, fire, EMS, and dispatch agencies across Oklahoma and Arkansas. In partnership with esteemed industry experts, we bring top-notch training and lectures to first responders. Together, we are thrilled to present Oklahoma's Premier First Responder Conference. The event is scheduled to be held at the Embassy Suites Conference and Convention Center, spanning four days of pre-conference and conference activities.

The agenda includes multiple breakout sessions tailored to address the unique needs of each discipline, as well as a keynote speaker focused on our mission to "bring the red and blue together."
